The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks Municipal Sports Division coordinates adult basketball leagues two seasons per year. The minimum age for basketball is 18 years old. The current fee for adult basketball is $387.00 per new team (due upon registration), and officials fees (which includes 2 referees and a scorekeeper) paid on the court at the time of play, (playoffs not included), Awards for 1st and 2nd, and administrative fees. All Star and Citywide Tournaments may also be organized.
Municipal Sports offers men’s divisions and women’s division. **NEW** beginning Spring 2008, Co-Recreational Division will be offered. Teams may be placed in one of four divisions: C, C+, B, B+
(see "Regulations Governing Play City-Wide Municipal Basketball") for team classification. Minimum registration is required in each division and league. All leagues are competitive and subject to classification verification. Games usually start at 7:00 PM, but vary from location to location. Current gym locations ranges form the San Fernando Valley to Downtown Los Angeles and Griffith Park to West Los Angeles. (See "Facility locations" for more information).

We are interested in putting on programs that promote women sports. We want to program a women's league and a women's tournament but we need your participation. And for those who do want to play with the men, we will also offer a co-ed league as well.
