Project Description:

The proposed Brand Park Community Building Project (project) involves the construction and operation of a 3,000-square-foot, one-story community building in Brand Park, located in the Mission Hills community in the City of Los Angeles. The project would include a multi-purpose public assembly room that would be used for community activities and meetings. The building would have an entrance lobby, a small office, a small serving/warming kitchen, and space for storage and utilities. Improvements would also be made to the existing courtyard that is adjacent to the proposed project site within the park. These improvements would include a trellis, a gazebo, and other outdoor enhancements, such as hardscape areas and additional landscaping around the proposed community building. On-street parking would be provided along Brand Boulevard (an adjacent arterial roadway) and along Noble Avenue.

REVIEW LOCATIONS:

A Draft Negative Declaration has been prepared for the project and will be circulated for a 30-day review period, beginning on January 25, 2007 and ending on February 26, 2007. Copies of the document are available for review at:
