My name is Manny Melendez, Delivery Driver Supervisor of 13 drivers. We're a team that provides delivery service Citywide to all City departments within our jurisdiction.

TRAVEL DISTANCE

Our team travels to the port of San Pedro Peninsula back towards the arid mountains of San Fernando Valley, breezing in and out of Will Rogers Park and a final sail through East LA's spicy gourmet district to service our field outlying City offices in an eight hour day.

Our team of 13 log in an estimated 17,000 miles per month to service each City department with our day starting bright and early at 6:30 a.m.

SPECIAL DELIVERY SERVICES

With prior notice from our Barcode Unit or special requests from a City department our team may be required to provide special delivery services of large packages or mass mailers.

CANCELLATION AND ADDRESS CHANGES FOR SERVICE:

1. Notification to MSD that your office is closed is necessary to avoid unnecessary travel. Each cancellation of a scheduled delivery service will help our team provide needed assistance in other areas of mail distribution. Because our day starts at the crack of dawn a 24-hour notice would be greatly appreciated.
